You’re down four. A field goal won’t do it.
Find the end zone before the clock hits zero.

THE DRIVE, PLAY BY PLAY.

Your story starts with the first call.
  1. Read the defense. Pick your play. Own the outcome.

A football game
for your inner coach.

The Final Drive is a free, browser-based two minute drill game. You take over a fictional football team’s last possession: 75 yards from the end zone, four points behind, with two minutes and two timeouts left.

Choose short passes, sideline throws, deep shots, or runs. Read the defensive look, move the chains, and protect the clock. A touchdown wins. A turnover or a clock at zero ends your drive.

What is a two minute drill?

A two minute drill is a football offense’s hurry-up approach late in a half. The goal is to gain yards and score while preserving enough time to finish the drive.

How does the daily challenge work?

Everyone gets the same starting scenario and seeded simulation each UTC day. Your choices affect the outcome. Only your first daily drive counts toward your stats. Practice as often as you like.

Is the clock running while I think?

No. This is a turn-based game. Each play uses simulated game time. When the clock is running, the next play also uses 8 seconds to get set. A timeout or spike can stop the clock.

What does the coach score measure?

The 0–100 coach score grades the decisions you made against the situation and defensive look. It is a game score, not a prediction or real-world win probability. A sensible call can still have a bad outcome.

Is this an official NFL game?

No. The Final Drive is an independent, original simulation with fictional teams and simplified football rules. It is not affiliated with the NFL or any team, and does not use live scores or real game play-by-play.

YOUR TWO-MINUTE PLAYBOOK.

75 yards. Two timeouts. A touchdown to win.

  1. Move the chains. Gain 10 yards in four downs to earn a fresh set. Reach the opponent’s end zone to win.
  2. Read the defense. The defensive look gives you a clue. Play outcomes include randomness, so no call is a guarantee.
  3. Watch the clock. A play uses game time. If the clock is running, your next snap also costs 8 seconds to get set.
  4. Know when to stop it. Incomplete and out-of-bounds passes stop the clock. Use a timeout to stop it without losing a down. A spike costs a down and up to 4 seconds.
  5. Make the daily drive count. Your first daily result is saved on this device. Switch to Practice for unlimited new drives.

Simplified rules: one possession, no penalties, no overtime, and no extra points. Trailing by four, only a touchdown can win.

Finish a daily drive to start your record.

A streak counts consecutive UTC days with a completed daily drive, win or lose. Practice does not change your record.

YOUR DATA STAYS HERE.

No account, no analytics, and no advertising trackers are built into this game.

Your unfinished drives and daily results are saved in this browser’s local storage. They are not uploaded to a game server. Clearing browser data removes them, and they do not sync between devices.

The hosting provider may process basic request information, such as your IP address, to serve this website. Sharing a result only happens when you choose to copy or share it.

If local storage is unavailable, you can still play, but progress and stats will not survive a refresh.
